  The service was amazing - old-school I'd say. Everyone was committed to make our stay the best. Always with a smile - from reception to housekeeping. Reception staff was especially lovely, happy to meet even our most complicated needs. Rooms clean, comfortable, quiet. It felt like home - we will definitely return. - The location to shopping and attractions such as Time Square, Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center as well as the ease of access to many subway lines going straight downtown. I was expecting a nice, clean, modern budget freindly hotel. the rate was only 179 per night which is cheap by nyc standards no matter what part of the city you're in.   I liked how the staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests even though they did not have to. The room we stayed in 814 had an amazing view of midtown manhattan and was very quiet. The rooms were very nice, comfortable, and clean. There is a subway station right next door to the hotel which gives you easy access to all of NYC. I had Room 301, the biggest one on the floor. Very comfortable bed, enough space for your stuff and very clean. I have been many times in NYC and the Lower East Side has become a hot spot, therefore the location of the Hotel is also good. Subway is only 2 blocks away. Very friendly staff and the restaurant in the basement is serving an outstanding omelet :-)
