  This hotel was so unique! The rooms are converted units in a brownstone so you get to feel like you're living in the city while you're there. Our room was great and eclectic--bright wall colors, bay window, hardwood floors, stained glass artwork, etc. Crown Heights is also a great neighborhood. Though we never saw any staff, they left signage and email instructions that told us how to get in, where to go and how to stay secure in the city environment.   I was travelling with my 15 year old daughter. The hotel was a pleasant surprise amidst the unattractive neighborhood. The room was small, but that's New York. We were on 9th floor and the sweeping views of the Williamsburg bridge and Manhattan skyline were amazing! Beds were very comfortable, room was clean. The area is quiet at night - also if you walk home to your hotel in the evening. Convenient with the complimentary hotel shuttlebus, but you could also easily walk to the subway station Queensboro Plaza 7 blocks from the hotel (8 min walk).
