  I have a home in Thailand, and I often pass through Bangkok going to/from North When I stay on the Sukhumvit side of town, I often stay at the President Palace, which is very central and only 1/2 a block off of Sukhumvit Road. However, on a recent stay I had friends staying at the "Phachara Suites Sukhumvit Bangkok" and I joined them. That being sa... what people say » id, I am now back for my second visit to the "Phachara Suites Sukhumvit Bangkok." The room price/value is exceptional. The rooms are new, fresh, great - The rooms were excellent with kitchenette, washing machine and great decor, two televisions one in sitting area and one in bedroom. I arrived for an early check in after a night flight and the reception staff were accomadting and made a special effort to get me a room with a balconey ( as requested) a soon as possible. Duly got the room after 30 minutes . Great location for entertainment and restaurants. Secuirty good. Seven eleven store just over the road for food and drinks.

Langsuan is safe and nice to walk even late at night, with everything you'll ever want within reach (including a great massage place next door - call Langsuan Spa and Nail Care - that opens till midnight for those who have business during the day). The hotel is situated in a chic area with numerous fine restaurants and it is just 5-7 min walk from/to Chi Lom BTS as well as the Skywalk (overground passageway) connecting all the major shopping malls in the area. Our studio (rather than a room) was cozy and clean with a well-equipped kitchenette and bathroom. Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. The staff was friendly but nothing special.
