Hotels near Bangkok Airport

Stayed one night before our early flight home the next day. It was our honeymoon and I must have put this in the booking as when they checked us in they upgraded our room. They had also decorated the bed with petals, which was a nice touch. We ate in the hotel and I have to say the food was great. Even better there is a happy hour from 5pm onwards and 50% off all drinks which made the bill very reasonable. Thai Airways put us up in this hotel overnight as our original flight was cancelled. On arrival at the airport we were shown to the baggage carousel by an attendant from Thai Airways - he left us with another representative who showed us to the waiting van from the hotel. A short drive and we were there - a seedy area as others have mentioned, but it was only a place to sleep after all! It was 10.30pm when we arrived. We have stayed 1 night in the hotel - it's located quite close to the airport, free of charge transfer is a big advantage. The room was huge - too big for 1 night stand. But: - bugs (termites) in the room and in the bed - awfull noise through all the night (sounded like electricity generator) - my room was not perfectly clean (shower cap of previous guest was in the bathroom and black hear near the bed) the hotel is new - so I hope they will fix everything. - Howard

Clean, relatively new hotel close (10 mins by car) to Bangkok airport (Suvarnabhumi) that is perfect for overnight stay between flights. Quiet location (i.e. couldn't hear airplanes or traffic outside) Decent sized rooms. Bathrooms are well-designed with hot shower. Not convenient for the seeing downtown Bangkok. - Mark

Nice hotel with free WiFi (thank god so Hotels do!). We missed breakfast and they phoned us and brought some up! - Quality!! - Breakfast was £2 each and was very nice. Cheap priced hotel but not cheap room or service - well done. A little bit hidden and you will need a map to find it - print one for the taxi driver at the airport before your leave or use their own transport. We stayed at the Queens Garden three different times during stopovers to/from Laos and Bhutan. The location of the airport pickup was as described and the transfer was efficient and fast. The rooms are basic - but for US$25 -- INCLUDING airport transfers -- it's a deal. The staff is friendly and helpful, the restaurant is clean and decent and although access to the Bangkok city center is far you can access it via an $8 taxi ride. If you need a basic cheap hotel close to Bangkok airport this hotel is definitely the way to go. I arrived in Bangkok late one night and was leaving early the following morning and so needed a hotel close by and was also on a tight budget. It took about 10 minutes to get to the hotel and about 250 Baht by public taxi. There is no lift in the hotel, but the hotel staff help carry your bags up and are also there to carry them back down in the morning. There is also free transfers to the airp - Jackie
