Chaweng Beach Hotels

Located at the far north end of Chaweng Beach, far away from the madness, touts and beggars of the busier sections, this is a fantastic place to stay on Samui. The beach is beautiful, the staff attentive and friendly, and the food is fantastic. Commandeer one of the salas near the beach, enjoy the excellent included breakfast, and use it as a respite from the strong sun. Watching the hotel's resident elephant play soccer while eating in your sala was one of my favorite experiences in Thailand. - Jackie

Loved the Kandaburi Resort!!! Nice, new, low rise resort with a great pool. Isn't the greatest swimming beach because the tide goes out and the water is shallow, but plenty of lounge chairs on the beach. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Free shuttle to town (1mile) during the day/evening and free internet. Buffet breakfast is good. I wouldn't book a room on the 1st floor because there isn't as much privacy. There is some noise across the street, but you can't hear - Andrew

My family and I stayed at the Baan Haad in August for 10 days and had a wonderful time. I really cannot understand the comments of the other reviewers! ( and I know I have high expectations and standards) We stayed in a garden villa and whilst the interior was a little dark we really couldn't fault anything.(no problems with air con) Everywhere was spotless. Every member of staff we came in to contact with was so very friendly (especially in the restaurant) and went out of their way to talk - Laura

Just returned from the Chaweng Regent with my wife and can only describe the resort as beautiful. The buildings, gardens, amenities and food was incredible. The staff were friendly, approachable and professional at all times. We could not fault the resort at all! It sits on the best strip of beach on Chaweng - is definately the cleanest and quietest part of the beach and is central to all the restaurants and shops. The beach here has clean, clear water, so was great for swimming. 200 metres in - Stewart

My husband and I stayed here for 10 nights half board for our honeymoon and couldn't have picked a more perfect place. From the private transfer from the airport on arrival, to the superb quality food, welcoming and helpful staff to the 5* room, we couldn't fault anything. We upgraded our room to one with a private pool (highly recommended) and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves by the pool, on the gorgeous white sandy beach which was a 1 minute walk away or on the various trips independantl - James
