For the money, I would rate this as one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Hospitality like only the Asians can do. - Ana

we only stayed here for 3 nights en route to phuket but couldve stayed longer it was lovely.it is located in the middle of busy patpong,which should be renamed ping pong lol,but if you want a gorgeous hotel with excellent facilities in a busy bustling location then i highly recommend it.the rooms were spacious and grand with great room service and excellant housekeeping.the restaurants were excellant and the gym tho small was perfectly adequate for an hours workout.pool area was clean although a - Steve

WOW !!!!! What a Fantastic Hotel. We have stayed in some amazing 5 star hotels around the world & this is certainly on par with the best. A very chic modern hotel throughout, we had booked a riverview suite with balcony which was simply amazing, it was a huge spacious suite with a lounge area, a modern kitchen complete with fridge & microwave, a huge luxurious bathroom & huge queensize bed, a plasma tv with a good choice of channels, as well as wi-fi accessible & a large balcony - Charles

beautiful place close to busy area of bangkok. gym, pool and restaurent are fabulous. staff is very efficient . very easy check in and out. will check fraser again for my next holiday( next year in europe). cheers alain - augustin

have been there in August 2009. The hotel is well maintained and the service provided is excellent. It is a very suitable hotel for travellers with kids. We are off to BKK by end of October and we have booked ourselves in Somerset again! - Jennifer

Hotel is a little out of the way for walking to the main tourist attractions but the free tuk tuk runs every hour from 730 to 2130 (I think?) to the sky train. We used tuk tuk and taxis to get back to the hotel at a cost of around 50baht. Pros - Hotel is very clean with good bathrooms. Good breakfast. Free tuk tuk. Very Nice staff. Cons - little out of the way for tourists, hard to find, no pool - Keith

I cannot fault this hotel. For me its not just the facilities of a hotel that makes it good (and they are very good here), its the staff. Every member of staff smiled at me and welcomed me at each passing. From day 2 and my second visit a couple of weeks later, they all remembered my name and treated me like an old friend. Location is great for me and as a Platinum member of Holiday Inns Loyalty club, the upgrade to a Junior Suite was a nice touch. Oh and the breakfasts are excellent - ple - Leonard

I have stayed at the Majestic Grande twice now and its a fantastic hotel, all the staff are freindly and the rooms are well equipped with everything you need. The breakfast buffet is brilliant serving everything you need! Will definately stay here again on my return to Bangkok! - John

For our 2 years wedding , I decided to offer my wife a long shopping holiday and for me too. We choose ADELPHI GRANDE and it was a very good choice...at our arrival we meet the porter POHL, help us...this guy is amamzing..he always at the service guest...if you need something or information about bangkok ask him...there is an other porter too, same as pohl but I forget the name...The restaurant staff for breakfast are very sympathical,all the time at your service...and they teach me some THAI W - Jon

We stayed at Swissotel on the strength of past reviews and were not sorry. We also took the advice of others and went for the Executive floor - well worth it! This hotel is an oasis in the large and busy city of Bangkok and yet the Skytrain is right down the street. Our rooms were lovely, internet acces was great and the staff so friendly and helpful. One night I forgot to dial out when attempting to make a reservation (I only realized this later), the staff person who got the call smoothly took - Nicola

Pondering my recent one-week stay at the Intercontinental Bangkok, I tried to think of a negative, just to make my remarks a bit more tempered. But I could not. The experience was memorable, the room was great, the staff superb (especially the concierge staff). Any day started with the breakfast buffet, and as another reviewer put it, one of the best available anywhere - the fresh croissants (and pain au chocolat) brought to the table pretty much sealed it, but the other things were superb as - Barry

We stayed in Baiyoke Sky hotel for 4 days. We booked for a non smoking room, not available when we checked in, so we were upgraded to a suite in a smoking room, which was ok for us. The staff were very friendly, helpful, the restaurants were good, centrally located but very crowded area. Next time i visit Bangkok, i will stay in Baiyoke Sky hotel. - Margaret

excellent location in the heart of downtown, very kind and committed stuff, supermarket and restaurant 24/7 just vis-a-vis entrance, planty of good restaurants and massage shops just round the corrner, bank and exchange office, sky train station (metro), good restaurant, I am staying there for the third consecutive time, and will again do so the best you can get for the money you pay when going for a business/conference/meetings or shorter travel stay in the city of Bangkok warmly recommendi - James
