Kata Beach Hotels

Stayed 4 nights in a Grand Suite. Check in was quick and pleasant, we were taken to our room by golf buggy. Our room was lovely but overlooked the path and restaurant more than the ocean, we asked the porters if we another room was available. They called through to reception who arranged for us to be moved to another room within 1/2 hour, they understood our concerns and went out of their way to sort it out, it was excellent service. I cant understad many of the comments at this page. Me and my girlfiren arrived from norway early in the morning, got a fresh towell and some juice to fresh up. The check in time was 15.00, but after one e-mail before leaving norway we got the room from 08.00. We were picked up at the airport by a nice car with a lovely aircondition. The picolo followed us to the room, showed us hairdryer, safe, phone and everything. The bed was firm, but enormous. The bathroom was great, with to sinks and a b - Eric

My wife & I stayed in a deluxe room is wonderful hotel , the staff are so helpful I spent 4 nights in this hotel we had a very good time there.from the moment you get to the hotel.you get kind of a personalized attention starting with a warm welcome by Mr.Tae ,Mr.Bird the supervisor of the hotel. - Nick

We really enjoyed our stay here - we initially booked into the Boutique Beach House hotel but it was so far away from everything and very quiet. This place had atmosphere, it was clean and the staff were friendly. The receptionists were not the best we have come across, when we booked with them we had to book the room over the internet in reception..? that was strange... and they were being quite snappy about the whole process. We stayed there for 11 nights. Had 3 bungalows - 2 poolview (no. 10 and 11) and 1 by the 'lotus lake' (no 16). Beautiful place, but the d*mn frogs in the lotus lake were making a h*ll of a noise a few nights :c) The staff is friendly, got a free taxi to the airport at checkout as we agreed on e-mail before arrival (because we stayed there over 11 nights). Clean rooms, new towels every day. 10 min. walk to the beach, restaurants by the beach to have lunch, 100 baht per sunbed. Basic, but good b - Jonathan

Great location directly on the beach. Our family had 3 rooms for 4 days. On reserving we had requested at least 2 rooms to be connected but this wasn't possible as the hotel was fully booked. A baby cot was provided with all linen which was quite nice. Breakfasts were enjoyable with a good variety. Staff are friendly and try to correct any problems Our room was smokey smelling and the AC wasn't working properly on check in. Within a couple of hours all was attended to. Having read some reviews was a little concerned about this hotel - however all doubts were unfounded! The hotel is located on a steep slope but is easily accessible by tuk tuk (for around 100 baht ) or by the scooters we rented on our trip. We had a family room for the three of us (2 adults, one child) and had more than enough room, excellent service, reasonably priced drinks and snacks at the hotel and enjoyed our time there thoroughly! At no time did we feel ripped off or worried about the bil - Mark
