This is a very good hotel. Don't be put off walking to it using the directions on this site - you do have to go down some grotty bank avenue which gives the impression its going to be a dump, but there is another way to get to the hotel through a nice square and is it actually in a nice area, It would be hard to describe the nice way to walk there,

Or you enter the main shopping street, Calle San Miguel, go down a few meters and enter the 1st or 2nd very small street at the left, then go straight ahead to the small Plaza de la Gamba Alegre.

Pepita the landlady/hostess was more than accommodating/welcoming to us, the room was very clean and cleaned on daily basis, beds dressed and towels changed. The room had a lovely balcony where the sun shone until late into evening. There is also a bar/cafe in hotel with really cheap prices.

Excellent value for money. Felt I got more than I paid for. Huge swimming pool. Apartment, which was on the fifth floor, is spacious with large balcony overlooking pool and great sea view. Around are good bars and restaurants. Good security. - Apartments very clean, staff friendly and good location to city centre for restaurants, bars etc.

A real gem of a small hotel. Very clean and constant repainting and cleaning taking place Great rooms as the web photos show. Great location at a very good price a few paces from San Miguel Street and the lift to the Beach.
