  We stayed as a family of 4 at the Montes Pension Boutique as a city break to Santiago in July. The location is perfect, just around the corner from the cathedral and main square. Staff extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The rooms are spotless, airy and bright with wonderful views from the balcony onto the square. A superb hotel in a central location. - fantastic staff--helpful, efficient, engaging. location--right in the middle of Santiago's "old city" and a block from their famed cathedral. Sound-proofed rooms--which i had no idea would be so important...and i still don't know how they do it! Tiny terrace with a great view and fresh air. Spotlessly clean-with great bed linens.

  Staff was very helpful and kind. Bus came every hour - The hotel provides an excellent menu del dia in the evening at a very reasonable price. There is a regular bus service for less than 1€ into the centre of Santiago which leaves from outside the hotel.

  Having read lots of other reviews which said that it's not very private and the walls are made of paper, we weren't sure about staying there but in the end we were the only people in the hostel and it wasn't a problem. The attic was kinda cool and the view was nice. - A goog, little, clean hotel. A bit noisy place. A bit coldly in the room, espe... what people say » cialy in the morning. Basic breakfast - not very early in the morning.
