  Admiral Lord Collinwood stayed here, in what was then a villa, whilst he was Commander in Chief of the British Navy in the Mediterranean during the Napoleonic era. The hotel is decorated with numerous paintings and artifacts from that era. It is also very convenient for visits to the forts at the entrance to Mahon harbour. The staff are extremely ... what people say » polite and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. - Very friendly staff, great place for relaxing with mahon and ES castell near by. Great for history lovers, the main building is very atmospheric like a museum. Totally recommend this hotel and wish we could have stayed longer
