The Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Modernista Barcelona with the Gaudi masterpieces and Joan Miro art, the plazas and markets, Roman ruins, the parks, waterfront and mountains, all very accessible with the excellent metro system and fantastic tourist bus made our 5 day trip one of the most interesting holidays I have ever had. The property is in a fantastic location, close to a main highway but you wouldn't know it; no road noise and you can only see trees and countryside from the house. A perfect retreat with a personel greeting from the hosts, a bottle of their wine, condiments and a baskets of vegetables fom their garden. The views were brillant and the area superb for cycling. It's the personel touch that makes the difference. We loved every minute.
