I have stayed at thisw hotel numerous times over the past 15 years. I like the fact it is an apartment with a small kitchen, a spacious living room, adequate bedroom and a bath. We liked the fact that we felt independent - that we could do our own thing and not be restricted by meal times etc. The Plaza Basilica was booked to allow us to get to the Bernabeu and in to the city centre and in this respect it proved an admirable choice. We would undoubtedly choose it again for a similsr trip.

Very good located. Near of public transportation (Callao metro station). Near to the moust important sightseeings. On the oposit side is a supermarket on the underground level from a shopping mall (you can find here glutenfree products too) and nearby a lot of little restaurants. The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!

Staff at front desk was very kind and helpful. Rooms were excellent, for an 'hostal'. Location is great and very easy to reach. We didn't take breakfast; plenty of places around. - We were highly impressed at the cleanliness. All staff were professional and friendly.
