  The staff were exceptional, particularly the reception staff and the concierge. I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of artwork on display, including the motorbikes - some pieces were outstanding. Being in the heart of the city was a huge plus for exploring on foot. The balcony was a great surprise that I wasn't expecting. My bed was very comfortable.... what people say » I had a great night's sleep. - The staff welcomed us and went out of their way to accommodate our wishes, including offering us complementary tickets to an art event.   The staff was amazing! I had to push my (non-refundable) stay back by a day, and they were happy to oblige...at no cost. They even offered to call the booking site I had made the reservation through on my behalf! When I arrived, the desk was temporarily unmanned, so one of the cleaning staff took the initiative to let me know it would be "just a m... what people say » oment" while she went to findsomeone. I then needed to extend my stay, and Faiz (sp?) took the initiative to move future check-ins to other rooms so - Close walking distance to Lambton Quay and Cuba St. We had a carpark that we could use. A sheltered smoking area. A dairy almost directly across the road with another one a little further. Plus there was supermarket further down the road, all of which were convenient for those pesky little grocery top ups. The staff were helpful and friendly. Good price, good location, good service.

  Location is great, walking distance to centre city, we were on the 22nd floor and had a view over the city and water. Room was serviced daily, although it was small it had everything we needed, including a microwave oven. When booking, I had requested having a room near family that had booked separately, and I had a phone call to confirm that was... what people say » no problem, and we did end up a few doors away from each other, very happy with that. We arrived early on the first day, and could go straight to ou - Good location, everything functioned well, clean, helpful no-frills front desk. We did not use restaurant facilities. Anyone considering booking should note that taxis drop off and pick up in Gilmer Tce, which is level with 7th floor reception, walk along well lit underground carpark. Take lift to ground level, then walk down Plimmer Steps to get to Lambton Quay. Lift does not go right down to street level.

After travelling it was great that we could immediately get into our room. The food was good and so helpful to have a weekend breakfast special. I read so many varying reviews on the hotel before making the booking and after staying here can confidently say that it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Also, despite the very central location, my room was very quiet. My family enjoyed their stay very much. Staff were great and went out of their way to help. - The staff were excellent, we loved the CBD location with flat walk to just about anywhere in the CBD. Close to the sea front, train station and many tourist attractions. Really good restaurant with excellent menu. Great room, very comfortable bed, well equipped bathroom, full mini-bar and stunning views across the CBD from our room. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

  I booked two rooms for myself, my daughter and her bridesmaids to go wedding dress shopping in Wellington. The staff were friendly and efficient upon arrival. Rooms were large and clean and very nicely presented. Although we had a car with us, we used the valet parking option and left the car at the hotel while we walked to all the wedding shops -... what people say » very handy location for tourist activities, shops and waterfront. During our very short stay we had to get the car out of parking twice to pick bride - Staff were very friendly and helpful, finding out information for us. Location was great, very handy for Te Papa museum and easy walking distance to the harbour front and also to restaurants, shops etc nearby. Room seemed newly decorated and was clean, comfortable and spacious. Would definitely stay there if in Wellington again!
