The staff were fantastic - friendly and helpful. It exceeded my expectations. For being in the heart of the city, it was great value for the money. I was worried it would be the least of places we stayed in NZ. Instead it was the nicest. My daughter and I enjoyed the access to the pool and exercise equipment, and the lift to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was most comfortable with a great kitchen, and our own washer / dryer. We would certainly recommend it to our friends.

The location was ideal for our purposes. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff were excellent. We had previously stayed at another Grand Mecure and was encouraged to book because of this. Also our daughter is getting married at the Grand Mecure Monaco (Nelson) in Sept and we wanted to support Accor because of the service we are receiving from Clare and staff at Nelson.

I thought the place was fabulous! My 11 year old and 17 year old were very happy and comfortable too! The location is excellent and we made use of the cafe and proximity to the museum and courtney place buses and eateries! Would definitely stay here again and even my husband enjoyed viewing all the various art works. 9.5/10

I was fortunate to get a room at the back of the hotel, which was incredibly quiet and peaceful. The room was a decent size (I was able to workout in the lounge area) and overall I liked the fact I could go about 100m down the road to the New World supermarket and cook a meal in my room. The kitchenette was well setup and would be ideal for people on a budget who wanted to save money by having the option to create your own meals.

Was amazed when I first walked in the room, it turned out to be a home away from away. Everything you could possibly need including washing machine and dryer! -
I liked that it was right in town but not noisy in the unit.
Very convenient.
