  Powerful showers, friendly staff, rooms were a good size, lockable cabinets in rooms. Good lounge space. Had a wonderful experience. Staff quickly replaced toilet rolls/hand towels - Staff were most helpful,and very freindly,showers are awesome super powerful and clean!

  Friendly and very helpful staff - reception and housekeeping alike. You get decent accommodation for your moneys worth! It's a backpacker and not a hotel, and don't forget, you are just paying backpacker prices. And this is one of the cheapest places to sleep in Wellington!! Rooms are comfy and good beds. I had a good nights sleep! - Close to City. Staff nice. Didnt tell them about wednesdays noise/party/smoking .   The location was excellent and the staff were terrific, very helpful. The kitchen facilities and small lounge areas were also good. The showers were wonderful, bathrooms were cleaned often, security was great. - The staff and service were awesome, will definitely be staying again when in Wellington.   good atmosphere between the people, very chilled out. the place is in a very good location. it's clean, quiet and the free wifi and breakfast make it a good value for money - Friendly staff. Compared to other backpackers we've stayed in, this was brilliant, a clean and tidy room. We would go back there again.

  Consistency, always the same. I don't want up market luxury, but apprec the small improvements always clean and tidy. Location to trains ferry's and buses, easy access to the water front pubs and the cake tin. The place has a good feel and mix of guests, young and older. I like the location of Downtown backpackers and the price. It is close to all the principal institutions. The cafe and bar are excellent value for money and serve a good range of basic and reasonably healthy food.

  Location,location, location!!! right amongst everything we wanted to access, Loved the fact it was clean and friendly. For the time of year (Wearable Arts and holidays), also budget friendly. Great place for young people - great meeting place and handy bar attached offering free snack and cheap drinks. Room was small, compact, but had everything w... what people say » e needed. We were happy there and would stay there again. - I stayed at female dormitory with a shared bathroom. Which was handy. Very good location to go to anywhere as it is in downtown. Also there is a bar in a same building and they provided beers with a good deal. Each staff was friendly and I enjoyed conversations with them.

  The location was very handy to the CBD, food, shops etc. Nice and quiet given that the rooms are close proximity. Will definitely re-book when I am in Wellington again. : ) - Absolutely spotless and the receptionist was lovely. Very convenient. Airport bus outside the door and walking distance to everything really. Very good value for money.

  This place is so comfortable and clean, and costs the same as the larger, older and dirtier hostels in town. I was here for Christmas and the owners BBQ'd two massive joints of lamb and a some chicken, and we all sat down and had a huge christmas dinner, was sweet.   You have to be a member of yha to gain the absolute most out of your money's worth. So become a member, it helps plenty throughout your travels. The showers were the best I had in three months of travelling in New Zealand. This was also my last location so I appreciated it even more. Free wifi!! Kitchen was roomy enough and had a decent amount of ... what people say » utensils to use. Supermarket was nearby and the bus stop was 2 minutes walking if you come from or go to the airport. The boulevard is equally nearby - hostel caters for a range of guests. we were upgraded at no extra costs due to a booking error on my part- really appreciated that. Eco-friendly recycle bins throughout are excellent idea. Location double thumbs up. Kitchens were also great. would stay again.

  24 hour reception which was great for me as I checked in after midnight and the rooms were clean and perfectly satisfactory. Laundry with iron available, small shop in the building and great lcoation right in town. - We wanted somewhere to sleep and shower. We got just that. No complaints from us. Was clean and tidy and basic. Would stay again.
