The staff was amazing! I had to push my (non-refundable) stay back by a day, and they were happy to oblige...at no cost. They even offered to call the booking site I had made the reservation through on my behalf! When I arrived, the desk was temporarily unmanned, so one of the cleaning staff took the initiative to let me know it would be "just a moment" while she went to findsomeone. I then needed to extend my stay, and Faiz (sp?) took the initiative to move future check-ins to other rooms so .
all reviews » Close walking distance to Lambton Quay and Cuba St. We had a carpark that we could use. A sheltered smoking area. A dairy almost directly across the road with another one a little further. Plus there was supermarket further down the road, all of which were convenient for those pesky little grocery top ups. The staff were helpful and friendly. Good price, good location, good service. Staff were excellent, from checking in to checking out, Bar staff also fantastic & friendly, location very good with restaurants close by, although the restaurant located in the Trinity Hotel was very good & value for money, the Trinity is within walking distance to Wellington center. Rooms were small, however had all that you needed. Would stay at the Trinity again. I wanted a hotel that was reasonably priced and within walking distance of the shops and theatre. The location was fantastic. It took me less than 10 minutes to walk to see the show. The gentleman on the front desk (I am sorry but didnt get his name) was friendly and gave me several bits of helpful advice as in ways to get around the area. Good room in well maintained hotel. Staff was prompt and helpful, especially on getting into the small indoor parking lot (travellers with vehicle need to be prepared, outside streets are very narrow when traffic is busy. The parking is great provided you book and the location of the hotel is fine. close to lots of fund things. Breakfast great. nice and quiet. room size was fine for the two of us. There was nothing that I didnt like about the trinity. The carpet in the lobby was a bit tired looking but that in no way detracted from me staying there. I didnt like of one atendent that was very bad-educated and the shower area is very small you can baddly move yourself. Room furniture was not very functional. It took up too much space and was in need of renovation. If there is no one at the reception, it is difficult to enter the car park. We paid for car parking at the actual trinity hotel (afterwards we discovered there is public parking across the road) the car park was TINY and we had to park between a car parked diagonally in their park and the rubbish bins and piled up rubbish and boxes. I would park across the road next time. As we were here on a public holiday - did need the earplugs to keep out the noise of traffic and people. Bed was a bit on the softer side -though fine for her, not so much for him. Very noisy room. Traffic and road noise made sleeping a real challenge. Used Coffee cups were not removed after first night. Room overlooking Willis St was quite noisy but I guess that's why is was such a good price. The off street parking was full , so had to park across road for $40 a night.. If I was being picky then the carpet needs to be re stretched. Damp smell on 5th floor, no a/c (hot night and because of noise from street didn't open window). Could only get 4 tv channels thought more would be available through Sky. Bathroom on the small side. Breakfast room in the bar following a party the night before, was still dirty. Floor was very sticky, sticky rings on counter top. Still a strong smell of alcohol ( not so good with breakfast). No sitting space apart from beds and no room to make hot drinks just a tap in the bathroom for the jug. Parking is a major problem for people arriving during the day or weekend when hotel car park is full. Staff seemed not much help with where to park. our bags stored in office but lax security...no tag given. Abit small and definitely not within walking distance from the Interislander, so glad we got a taxi!. We stayed for 6 nights and it was disappointing that our room wasn't cleaned very well each and every day. The best clean was on our last night. The gym was not clean or inviting. The room was quite small - but all that I required. My room card didn't work and I had to go back to reception When I did get in the room it was being used by other people, I had to go back to reception - that has never happened to me in my lifetime! No Carparking available No room service as the restaurant had a private function - that has never happened to me in my lifetime!. The only one slow lift and our room had clean towels provide but the bed was not made up at all with the cover just roughly pulled up and the pillows just tossed to the head of the bed. Expected to come back to a properly made up bed as if we were new guests. I did mention this to the gentleman at reception and he was very courteous and responded appropriately. Distance from restaraunts and no in-house restaraunt. If you fancy a tea and go to the trouble of making it, why not have a mug not a tiny cup? Parking a nightmare as it was not made clear there was a height restriction. Lift very noisy once it hits 2nd floor. smallish room, other than that nothing. Interior window sills of our room, 206, dirty, and require cleaning & repainting. The position of the t.v could be put on the wall .lights above bed in wrong place.coffee cups were badly stained. Traffic noise. not enough tea and coffee and sugar for the time spent there. The lack of air conditioning or even a fan. The air conditioning unit below our window was noisy but we needed to have the window open. The proximatity of the window to the building next door meant there was very little airflow. The seal on the shower door didn't work so water leaked onto the floor and the shower head let very little water through. The rooms looked more spacious when we saw them on line, however, everything was adequate - thought the windowsills could do with a bit of a wipe!. Car park not included with stay at hotel for free. The room was really hot at night, even with the window open. And because the window was open and the room was next to the street, there was a bit of noise but not too much.
