  The hotel is lovely from the outside, and has a great feel as you walk in. It's open clean and pleasant. The staff are very organized and friendly. Check in was easy and efficient. When I got to the floor of my room I could smell cleaning products and bleach, hosekeepers were cleaning and mopping everything in hallway and rooms. Beach, shops and restaurants right around the corner! The staff was super! The lady in the reception was always helpful and did everything with a big smile on her face! The lobby bar was super, as well as the bartender! Rooms are big and clean, free air condition.Very good breakfast! We stayed there in October, so it was quiet, but I would think that in June-August it will be quite noisy, because the "Bar Street" is just around the corner.

We had a two bedroom apartment and it worked very well for us. The rooms are large. There are 2 single beds in each of the bedrooms. From waiting up for us when we arrived late to getting up early to prepare breakfast at 6.30am for our early departure, nothing was too much trouble for Yvonne. It is a short wal - Minos is in the Old Town and the location is excellent with great views and accessible by taxi for airport transfers. The pension is family run and we were welcomed by them all times. Meals , drinks and laundry are all available. Easy access to Old Town centre for meals and shopping. Larger rooms can be self catering but meals in town are better and more interesting. Minos is value for money.

  We spent two full weeks in this hotel. After many years of experience with Greek tourism (and all its drawbacks) I must say that hospitality and efficiency of Philoxenia’s staff is amazing. We were treated like in real 5 star hotel.
