The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. They spoke a lot of languages and seemed interested in all their visitors. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The pool and surounding area was great as was the bar area. Large TV with sport but did not dominate and was not noisy. Sea view although one road back. Quieter area than other side of Rhodes but in easy walking distance of old city. Food was fine and laid out buffet style which was great for my other half who is wary of food he doe.
all reviews » The staff was incredibly friendly. The showers were big for European showers. They had a shower head that was able to be fixed above your head - not true of the other two hotels on our trip. The pool was large. They had a reasonable sized elevator for luggage and two people. We had a great view from our 3rd floor room of the Aegean sea. They have a bank for exchanging other currencies to Euros with reasonable rates. It was within walking distance to the Medieval City of Rhodes. The customer service and cleanliness of this hotel more than make up for any lack of 5* luxury. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. It's in a good location and has a lovely swimming pool. We were very comfortable and it is so inexpensive. Excellent value for money. Reception Staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The bar staff were entertaining and friendly, and would ask if there was anything on tv you would like to watch and if you liked the music they were playing. Fantastic staff, room, location, food especially dinner, pool...pretty much everything. Perfect value for money. I`ll recommend this hotel to everyone. (thank you Ms. Sirpa, Sofia and all others). The Agla staff is very professional and supporting. It feels like coming home. We stayed on 5th floor with a wonderful view of the sea, and very comfortable beds. We really want to return soon. Had to ask for kettle and cups etc despite saying facilites were provided on paperwork. Staff were more than happy to provide this equipment immediately but room maid did not clean the cups. Only small thing and did not spoil and otherwide great stay. The food seemed overpriced and lacking. 10 euro for breakfast and 12 for dinner. We could get better food for equal or less price elsewhere. Also the Double bed was really two twins pushed together which works but is not optimal. We had to leave very early, so we missed the breakfast, but AGLA made us a cup of coffée from the bar. Nice!. Cleaning of rooms starts very early in morning and finish also early, for someone who likes sleep or came to party - it's awfull, coz we have been most of the time with dirty rooms. Lack of electricity ( we had just 2 power sockets in room, 1 was for TV) but we had lots of electronics to charge. Lack of hot water sometimes Tough mattress and bad pillows (but is for me, I prefer not like that). The is no free wifi connection at the lobby. Food is poor a and the bar is expensive for that it is. Bed a bit hard but one can used to it!. The only downside was the hardness of the beds,very very firm. Décor a bit rough round the edges and only 1 electric socket in our room. City road between the hotel and the beach.
