  Beautiful location in the forest - a stunning drive! A friendly, older couple running the hotel who couldn't do enough. Our bedroom was actually a 2bedroomed flat, 90msquared in size with a kitchenette! Restaurant food was basic but good with lovely little taster plates coming from the kitchen between courses! Breakfast buffet was basic,tradition... what people say » al European standard, but lovely Black Forest Hams and warm bread rolls. - Everything! The Hotel is right on the B500 so wonderful road to ride in either direction. Close to Baden-Baden. This was our 2nd time of staying and we were greeted like old friends. Decoration of the rooms is exceptionally pretty. We had called to pre-book the fondue again as we had enjoyed it so much last time. Didn't disappoint the second time round. Already planning to go back later in the year.

But the gastof, although an easy walk from the lakeside and a step from the station, is quiet, discrete, and very comfortable.   The rooms were really well-appointed and large, the bathroom was modern and impeccable. We had a great dinner with delicious wines from the hotels own production. The location in the countryside is just a few minutes from the autobahn - very convenient.
