  This hotel was great, excellent location near the S-Bahn station and near the MarienPlatz you can walk everywhere. Lots of restaurants near by (walking distance). The rooms were very nice and the bathrooms were extremely clean and spacious. Staff super friendly and helpful.   This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Also, it is only a 3-5 minute walk to Marienplatz (which is another good location). We a... what people say » lso enjoy the breakfasts at this hotel, with a nice choice of meats, cheese, and breads. - The location is fabulous. You can walk to everything -- and we did! Most of the top sights of Munich are right nearby. The same is true of many of the best restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful with reservations, including getting us excellent seats at a very popular performance of Rigoletto, which was right around the corner. They also selected and reserved a perfect restaurant for our first night in the city. Very nice!
