The restaurant was about to close when we arrived and had not had dinner. The waitress was so kind and helped us not only get food but what I had wanted to eat earlier had we been there. The free breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice of food such as eggs and bacon with toast. The room was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Not much to see in Saint John's but it was a good spot to stop between Connecticut and Nova Scotia. Very good breakfast.
all reviews » We are from the area so this was just a night out for us and the price was right , especially the restaurant. Great staff overall, friendly and well informed. Room was very clean with fast user friendly WiFi. Male front desk clerk was very friendly and receptive after a 7 hour drive to get to destination. The idea of a heated pool is great, but it was closed for maintenance on 7 out the .8 days we stayed The room was poorly lit WIFI connection was very unstable. All good. Vent fan in bathroom. Coffee pot did not work, food was not the greatest. Hotel seemed to be quite rundown, I got the impression it had just changed hands and renovations would start soon. We were given the key to the wrong room and we attempted to enter a room that was already occupied. We had to make 3 trips to the front desk to get the key to the correct room. The bathtub was stained and less than desireable, the carpets need either a super cleaning or replaced...the window was open upon our arrival with no screen in it. No wi-fi in spite of info otherwise, noise late at night and early in the morning, restaurant service was slow and frustrating and mediocre, pool was dirty and whirlpool unkempt, shower was sporadically cold and hot, on a scale of 1-10 in terms of cleanliness I'd give the motel a 6.5. needs a bit of updating and the lamp in our room on the desk was very dirty around the bottom, more detailing while cleaning would help.... No hot water. Did you shut off the boiler at night. Not able to bath in the late evening or early morning. When I called the desk the night staff male person was extremely rude. smell and cleanliness of the room. The water in the shower was not hot enough. I took my shower without the use of cold water and it still wasn't warm enough. We were put in a room directly across from the elevators and it was very noisy making it hard to sleep. The carpets and chairs were stained. everything. It was horrible, i changed hotel 30 min after i checked in... Discusting room, my credit card was not even working fobtheir system...visa.
