We appreciated the beauty of the historical building on Sydney St, St John. It was a nice walk to the City Market and we enjoyed the craftmanship of the buildings along the way.
Having the freedom to use the livingroom, sunroom and laundry gave the accomodations a homey feel.
Very well appointed old mansion (#71 Sydney St.) in St. John. They thought of everything. They have it set up for longer stays with kitchenette amenities and wonderful public areas for relaxing.
Historic well Maintained 3 story building. Classic brick, spectacular woodwork, antiques, architectural features, stained glass, inlayed tile, and elegant main floor common rooms.
nice rooms and comfortable bed. Kitchen was useful with large fridge. Close walk to downtown. Parking was fine once you get used to it.
Good beds, upper city location, close to good restaurants and coffee shops, friendly staff, kitchen available, fun place to stay.
Location was great and allowed us to walk to downtown areas we wanted to access: aquatic center, old market, etc.
Every thing was great. we were staying at 71 Sydney St in St John's NB. and enjoyed the Décor and comfort.
We enjoyed the common areas, particularly the sun room as a place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
Loved the teapot with cups, plates, utensils. The balcony off the room and the architecture.
Gorgeous old house transformed into beautiful suites. Lots of character and charm!.
One of the nicest places we've stayed, great location right in the center of town.
Wonderful building and period decor. Good location to St John center of town.
We felt it was a beautiful, clean and comfortable place to be.
Staff very helpful and friendly on phone and in halls.
Lovely location, terrific room, comfortable and clean.
Decor is outstanding and rooms are comfortable.
Nicely decorated, great city location.
Ambiance, price, location.
Comfortable clean room.
Victorian styled home Location Cleanness Fairly tuned piano.
Absolutely nothing!!!!except for the storm....my trip was
absolutely awesome!!.
A little tricky getting in the building, but the system they have works. No real concerns.
Room was lovely but hot on the third floor with south facing windows on warm spring days when the aircondioning had not yet been hooked up. Welcomed the rain storm on the thied day which allowed some cooling off.
Nothing.
Lack of on-site management was fine but the room hadn't been deep cleaned in some time, e.g., dust bunnies on the foor, ceiling, and ceiling fan.
Nothing.
Hard to get a wifi signal in the room. Everyone came down to the sitting room to use their iPads and tablets.
Parking is a bit complicated.
Nohing to dislike.
1. Parking was a problem.
2. There was no iron in the room.
3.No starter packs of coffee.
Would have been nice to have offerings for breakfast.
Most of the buildings are re-habbed older homes. Getting to thr third floor is sometimes difficult for us.
Check in is a little cumbersome -- no people involved, just opening a
lock box to get the key, with emailed directions.
No elevator - carrying bags to 3rd floor was difficult
Parking was a challenge.
Parking situation.
Our bathroom sink (was too close to the cabinet that I hit my head on
edge of the cabinet! Separated swages for hot/cold don't mix
water... Not convenient, we had to wash face in the bath tub...)
Other rooms seemed OK, though...
Windows are kept closed and when we needed fresh air, we had to open the door to a small balcony, then bugs were coming in the room..
