  Beach Haven Inn though an older facility is basic, clean, comfortable and economic accomodation within steps of the Pacific Beach boardwalk, but at the quieter north end of Crystal Pier. Having a kitchenette and pool deck BBQ makes it easy to have some meals in when not enjoying the many restaurants in PB. The heated pool and hot tub were great.... what people say » Staff were very friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed being able to walk for miles on beach/boardwalk, grocery stores were within 5-6 blocks walk a - For the amount we paid we were very pleased. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable! When I read the description of the room it didn't say there was a fridge, microwave or coffee maker...when we walked in the room there was a full kitchen! The staff was always walking around and cleaning up even late at night. One staff member saw us up late and alerted us he had a parking spot open up front so we got to move our car closer.

  We were pleasantly surprised to find the location was within walking distance to Belmont Park. We were also able to rent bikes and cruise the boardwalk as well as the bay. We rented a kayak and tootled around the bay. The room was comfortable and quiet. At check in, the clerk gave us all kinds of helpful info and answered all questions. All in all, it was a great trip. - Loved the location, easy to get to the Zoo and Seaworld. Pool area and spa was fantastic, quiet place to relax and enjoy a drink while the kids are in the pool!! Room lovely and great having the separate lounge area. We have been travelling around California for the last few weeks from New Zealand and this hotel is voted the kid's favourite so far!!

  Very nice room, good 24h service, nice hot tub and pool, when the day was a bit chilly,very clean, good connection to main points of San Diego by PT, close to the beach and main points of La Jolla - Simple breakfast with fresh fruit and milk available.   Great central location, close to San Diego's bus and trolley lines, shopping in vintage shops, lots of restaurants in gay-friendly Hillcrest area. Nice continental breakfast included and staff ensured that foods were replenished and dining area cleaned constantly. Hotel caters to tourist couples, singles, and families. Close access to two highways... what people say » but we heard no noise from traffic. Lovely, large room w fully stocked full kitchen incl microwave, full fridge, stove top/oven. Room clean and bed c - The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our suite was very clean with a balcony overlooking the pool and on the right spot for a late afternoon sunshine. It lacked a corkscrew, I asked for it and is was brought to the room within 5 minutes. And the best: the location! Vibrant Hillcrest accross the street, a new Vons 5 min walking and close to all major roads.
