  We liked the price and that the rooms were spacious. We loved having two balconies and that the room had dishes and a kitchen if we wanted to cook. The location was close to the strip and trolley stop right in front of the door. There was also a convenient ABC in the lobby. We also liked the option to pay for late check out and a storage area for ... what people say » luggage while waiting for a flight. - This was an older hotel but everything seemed to be in operating condition such as the pool, etc. Our room met our expectations and most important these days, it was clean. Not a given anymore. The staff was very helpful and competent. No complaints about anything.

  The staff were friendly and helpful. I had a problem with the air conditioner in my room making clunking sounds when turned off and I was all prepared to demand a new room, however, after reporting it to the front desk it was fixed by maintenance by the time I returned in the afternoon. Considering the price of other hotels in the area it was good... what people say » value. It contained the necessities. - Staff were really friendly and got an upgrade on our room which was nice. Room was massive and had a bit to sit outside although it was just overlooking the street outside. Good watermelon water at reception on a hot day! Close enough to the beach without paying beachfront prices.

  Stayed here for 1 night just to sleep after a late night flight in before moving onto the beach front. Staff were friendly and offered us a free upgrade. Room was very clean though dated. Although away from the beach it is really only a few minutes away and you can still see the ocean. Great for travelling on a budget in Honolulu. - The check in ... what people say » was wonderful, the staff was very friendly throughout the stay. I was told that I was upgraded (not sure if that was really the case). The room was of good size and the view was nice. There is LAN internet in the room with high speed. Also there is a cafe and a shop right in the building, which is very handy.
