We liked the price and that the rooms were spacious. We loved having two balconies and that the room had dishes and a kitchen if we wanted to cook. The location was close to the strip and trolley stop right in front of the door. There was also a convenient ABC in the lobby. We also liked the option to pay for late check out and a storage area for luggage while waiting for a flight. This was an older hotel but everything seemed to be in operating condition such as the pool, etc. Our room met our expectations and most important these days, it was clean. Not a given anymore. The staff was very helpful and competent. No complaints about anything.
all reviews » Was a decent hotel on a budget. We got a room with 2 beds, a balcony, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and TV for $78.95. That was only $18.95 more then what we spent on a hostel and trust me, I wouldn't want anyone to stay in the hostel we stayed in!!. The Hotel was great for the price, the room was very clean and spacious, the room service for cleaning was done daily, the hotel is located in the front of Waikiki, so even though I had a car, I didnt really need it. I would stay here again. With all the $159-$250 hotel rooms in Waikiki, this was a nice hotel for the price! Location is just at the start of the Waikiki strip. We stayed on a weeknight for about $79 for the night. Very pleased with the price, and location!. Warmth of the staff, willingness to help with any problem or question; location perfect for Waikiki, close to restaurants, easy walk to beach, first-rate and large breakfast buffet; excellent value for money. Indigenous front desk and secuirity staff really friendly and helpful,housekeeping staff responsive and thorough,very handy location to bus routes , Waikiki Beachs and Ala Moana etc. I liked that it was convenient to my children's Waikiki apartment and had an abc convenience store downstairs. It was also great to get a room with four twin beds. - Ease of check in - low cost - kama'aina discount for parking - nice christmas deco in lobby - was given a kitchenette room - room nicely set up and comfortable. This is strictly for either the budget-conscious or those spending less than two nights. - Pool was small and oddly shaped - TV was outdated - water from shower head trickled out - need more bath towels - staff attitude is okay but not overly nice - had a room with two twin beds instead of one queen/king like requested - shower was a bit small. The rust around the mirror in the bathroom. Not really good lighting for reading, but I didnt read... I was first assigned to a room that had been taken by other guests ... I was shocked to see luggage and belongings of someone else when I first entered the room. Of course, another room was given after I went back to the reception. Other than that, I had a pleasant stay. The Restaurant could use a upgrade on their décor and food. They didn't give us any paper for bill at check out and told just check my credit card account how much they charged us. Cost to park at hotel, but it's on par with many hotels in the area. Also I could hear the occupants in the room next door a little bit, but it wasn't unbearable. On the noisey side. A bit out dated, needs doing up. Hotel rooms feel a bit outdated but are certainly comfortable. some traffic noise. Hard to find. Internet should be free. i didnt like how the balcony was connected to the next room. didn't give much privacy. Air Con noisy. Buffet breakfast is not worth it. Not close to much. still have not received receipt for my stay for one nite, amount deducted from my visa account. thanks. The safe box in my room didn't work. None. Room was a bit on the high side of value for the age of the room's appointments. AC unit was old, shower head made the water hurt and beds could use a comforter on top. We had to have a valet, and we had to have a bell man, that should have not be necessary, it's like we didn't have a choice. The coffee cups in the room werent washed out properly. There was still soap in them and it was disgusting. Room poorly airconditioned, bathroom extremely old style,. The room was dingy and old, the bed was Ok. For the price is was alright but I wouldn't stay there again. Facility is old, ran down and smelled bad. Food . Not enough worker . Make up room slow.
