  I loved the scenic view of the lake and free kayaks which I made good use of. The grounds were nicely kept with flowers still in bloom in Oct.   The staff was excellent. Very courteous and welcoming. We had originally booked for 1 night and decided to stay in the area for an extra night. They were able to cheerfully accommodate us for the extra night with no problem. The hotel itself is on beautiful grounds with an old-school charm, only a couple of minutes drive to a beautiful downt... what people say » own area with lots of shopping, parks and restaurants. The rooms are older, but are SUPER clean. The beds are comfortable and made with the nicest - Loved the sauna & will next time get a massage as well. I love the fact that there is a swimming pool, jacuzzi, massage therapist, & sauna. Perfect for those stiff muscles from driving. The rooms are very clean, well decorated, & quiet. Both the female & male receptionists were considerate & prompt.

  So nice to see lemonade and cookies at check-in desk, even though we were too full to enjoy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bacon beautifully cooked at breakfast buffet; pancakes good. Loved the area for kids near the pool, and the spacious grounds. Lots of little nooks around the hotel for quiet conversations. Loved the fire "pit" outside ... what people say » main entrance. Indoor pool was beautiful, although so many kids there I changed my mind about going in. A disappointment. - The location is very close to the lake and there are many good restaurants nearby. The first night we were given a room that was over looking at the back parking but in the morning the staff were helpful in locating us to a room that overlooking at the lake which was very nice.

  We attended the waj Alumni Banquet. This was the first time my sister-in- law had been back to the North Eastern part of the U.S. since moving to Germany over 40 years ago. I was able to take her to see some of the damage from the hurricane, as well as the rebuilding completed and some still on going. We saw the mountain in all its beautiful fall ... what people say » foliage. The trees were very colorful. We visited my relatives in the area also. - The stay was fine until I realized that I missed out on the meal plane because I booked with you.

  Very nice place just outside (2 miles) the craziness of the village. We wanted 'quiet' but close enough to enjoy the downtown area. We drove into town but the trolley is available just outside the Colonel Williams. The owners/staff are very attentive and the grounds/rooms are well cared for. But we were out and about most days & didn't use it (except for 2 days dur - The owners allowed our son to take a shower after picking him up from camp after we had already checked out.   Our fourth- floor balcony room had a wonderful view of Mirror Lake and the mountains. It was conveniently situated on the main street in the town of Lake Placid, which had nightly live music in the lakefront park. There were numerous restaurants and shops. We stayed a week and - This place is an authentic jewelry! The location is ideal, in the lively city center but right on the lake, featuring a private beach provided with chairs, canoe, paddle boats, toys for the kids, etc.; the staff is professional and attentive, the people in charge of the room cleaning very efficient; our room was quiet and comfortable; the pool and the whirlpools are a nice "plus". We will definitively come back!

  We really like that the apt had a kitchen with everything in there.. People u can bring ur own food to cook !! And even better u dint need to bring a single pan- the apt is very complete, clean and comfortable . I am sure we r going to book there next year. - Well designed condo on nice sized estate.
