So nice to see lemonade and cookies at check-in desk, even though we were too full to enjoy. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bacon beautifully cooked at breakfast buffet; pancakes good. Loved the area for kids near the pool, and the spacious grounds. Lots of little nooks around the hotel for quiet conversations. Loved the fire "pit" outside main entrance. Indoor pool was beautiful, although so many kids there I changed my mind about going in. A disappointment.
all reviews » The location is very close to the lake and there are many good restaurants nearby. The first night we were given a room that was over looking at the back parking but in the morning the staff were helpful in locating us to a room that overlooking at the lake which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant as well as a full breakfast in the morning. We were very satisfied with our stay in this hotel. My family enjoyed two relaxing days in this hotel. The staff was very friendly, the facilities nice and clean, spa with the "open air" hot tub was marvellous. The countryside of George Lake is splendid. The location near to everything. Wasn't real maple syrup, which we expected since the menu stated "maple syrup". That was a disappointment. Would rather not have bill put under door early in the morning. Our trip was a "gift" to my husband that I wanted to be responsible for myself. An early riser, he got the bill before I did. Hate the revolving door at front entrance!. The balcony should be cleaned on daily basis as the room. Nothing. My room was near the stairs: ... a bit noisy by night. We booked two rooms, one of them for 4 persons (2 adults + 2 older children less than 19 years). The confirmation we received clearly show that room is for 4 persons, and that breakfast is included in the price. We understood that breakfast will be served to all room occupiers. At breakfast, we were surprised that only breakfast for two persons is served/included. We had to argue with the reception, who finally accepted to extend breakfast to 4 persons. Price was high. Heating, very dry and noisy. Need to update the fitness room.
