The rooms in the mansion were amazing... Clean, beautifully decorated,
and the most comfortable beds ever! Every staff person was amazing and
had a smile on their face, the food and service was top notch. We even
met the gm Matthew Moore who took the time out of is busy day to
congratulate us on our wedding the day before. We will go back every
year to celebrate our anniversary. We had an amazing time!

The landscaped grounds of the PBVR are interesting and beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the room we stayed in had been recently renovated. There was a new rug, comfortable beds, and the bathroom was recently retiled. The room was spacious for a family of four. It was nice to have breakfast available on site.

when I read reviews I almost didn't go but thought I'd look for myself. Very happy I did. Yes it is a little scuffed up and the rugs a little worn in the hallway. The wall in my room was marred from chair but that cosmetic stuff aside. My room was clean ,staff was great and at night it was quiet even an insomniac could get a good nights sleep -

We traveled with our 6 month old puppy and the staff were very accommodating. The dog treats available in the lobby was a very nice touch and a sign that pets were welcome. Breakfast was more than sufficient, and one day we even order waffles! We have relatives in Gloucester and visit once or twice a year and will always come back to the Rockport

The staff was very friendly, the room was decent sized with a refrigerator and microwave. There was a trolly that picks up and drops off right across the street to head to Main Street shops and the beach (we walked down and took the trolley back). I would recommend this hotel based on comfort, convenience and value.
