  My partner and I stay at The New Otani Kaimana for 2 nights early April 2013. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When we checked in the lady was really friendly and we were upgraded to an ocean view room free of charge which was great. It was last two nights of our 17 night stay around the various islands so decided to pay a bit more than we had budgete... what people say » d for, but it was well worth it. It has it's own beach which is quieter and nicer than the main section of Waikiki beach. The locals hang out around h - This boutique hotel is "just right". Not too big, not too small, not too fancy, not too plain: relaxed, casual elegance. The food is excellent. Most of the staff have been there for years. The hotel is at the far end of Waikiki Beach, next to the Nanitorium, across from Kapiolani Park and close to Diamond Head--in short, away from the madness of Waikiki but within walking distance.

  Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful. Lovely outlook over banyan trees and sweet night twitterings emanated from the birds nesting in the banyans as we slept. Great location for Volcanoes National Park and Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls. We did all 3 in one day. Beautiful walk in the gardens opposite the hotel. "Pesto"restaurant was a 5 min drive away and was divine. - The hotel doesn't get very good reviews so we were a little skeptical about staying here. We were surprised to find the hotel clean, comfortable, in a great location (wished we had booked for 2 days instead of 1),staff was very friendly and the renovations were beautiful. Breakfast buffet was very well done. Free parking was a bonus!

  An operator of airport shuttle did not know the hotel location, so I walked around almost 300 yards. - The staff was very helpful and the room was great. We had a very good experience.

  Free shuttle to and from airport is great. Our room was neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Liked the fact that there was a laundry room on our floor ( we did one load of wash), and for future reference noted the microwave, empty refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. Also liked that there was a stamp machine and an atm machine available. Seems like a lot of - We stayed for one night before continuing on with our vacation. Loved the size of the hotel, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice room, lovely pool area. Enjoyed walking in the area and going to Byron's. We would definately stay here again and will highly recommend it to our friends. We walked thru the Best Western but preferred your hotel, less busy and more personal and friendly.   This is one of the best apartment hotels we've stayed in. And we stay in apartments always. Location is ideal for those visiting Maui, Hawaii. Though Lahaina area maybe more suitable for those who want activity. This is a quieter locality. The amenities offered by this apart-hotel are fabulous. The apartments are lavish and clean. However since this is an individual owned apartment hotel, the facilities are different in each apartment and u may not get all facilities u des - I really love the location and the comforts of home by having a condo with kitchen and laundry area.   The staff were friendly, but busy. Anyone who made noise before 8am were reminded of the quiet rule. Everything was well-regulated, including the parking- you better park between the lines or else!
