  The building itself is magnificent - harks back to a more refined time. We were a group of 5 "mature" college girlfriends, having our every-other-year reunion. The location was great, being within walking distance to the White House and many other sites, and 1 block away from the Metro. The breakfast buffet (not included) was beyond plentiful with... what people say » anything you might want, including individually prepared eggs. Staff was very pleasant and helpful, giving us rooms next door to each other as reques - It was a day layover for 25th wedding ani /50th birthday en route to Hawaii. Given room upgrade not quite a suite but corner room views both ways. Biggest chocolate strawberrys/and cake and cream ive ever seen as a special gesture and free. staff and conciege extra polite and helpful.As previous comments this is a luxury standard by which all others should be judged the besr hotel we have stayed in and weve stayed in some top ones. the hotel is steeped in history take the trouble to enquire????

  Our experience exceeded our expectations. We thought all of your staff were very well trained to be friendly to guests. We were there for a marathon and didn't have dressy clothing and when we had friends join us in the bar area one evening, we were somewhat underdressed, but were never treated any differently than anyone else in the hotel. The cl... what people say » eaning staff, and the doormen always were friendly and greeted us as we passed. Very nice, but not stuffy. - We thoiught the staff were - to a person - friendly, helpful, charming and really seemed to go out of their way to help us. The kids loved the St. Regis bags they received. There was a slight problem with our booking which was sorted out in a timely and efficient manner - everyone - from the concierge staff to the reception people were friendly and charming! Well done to all of them! WE will DEFINITELY be back!

  The staff were extremely friendly. Our room was very clean and was cleaned often. The location is within walking distance of Georgetown. - Front desk Staff and cheese Chef amenable attitude , extremely knowledgable. Very pleasant evening because of him.
