I had read some negative reviews before our trip , but decided to take a
chance. Very glad we did. The staff was very helpful , the room was
clean and neat and with vintage charm. The staff at the
restaurant/bar were so nice , gave us ice in our cooler every time
we needed with no problem at all. Loved the 4 days we spent there. Would
stay again in a heartbeat! As for having no elevator, it is only 4

The hotel is fully renovated. Nice, clean, modern. Having a kitchen helped feed breakfast in the morning for kids. Close to Mt. Vernon square metro station-yellow line. Friendly front desk. Elisa is great. Left our bags at the hotel upon check out since we had a later flight. CVS is round the block for groceries. We were flying from DCA - so a quick 5 min walk to metro and we were at the airport < 30mins!!

For a city hotel, the room was very large easily accommodating 2 queen size beds along with an easy chair plus ottoman. The staff was excellent, specifically Chase and Leigh. They were very friendly, accommodating, and very helpful with any questions we had about the DC area! Our bartender, Lukas, was excellent as well. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The theme of Hotel Rouge is fun and very different from any hotel I've ever stayed at.

It's about 3 blocks away from the Metro which made it very easy getting to all tourist attractions. It was great to have a kitchen with us. I didn't find a supermarket close by, by CVS next door had many choices for us to make sandwiches to bring with us to our tours.

The location was great for my Dad and I since he is in his 70's and walking can be a challenge. Very close to the Air and Space Museum and Metro stops. The hotel lobby areas, dining options, layout, ammenities and staff were all wonderful. Great breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again! Ok fitness area. Outside courtyard nice. is an up & coming area! If you use 200 Florida ave ne you will get
to the hotel no problem. As far as "sketchy" people in the
area I will say this, there is a mix of people in the area & there
