Good location for shopping in Mackinaw City and ferry docks to Mackinac Island.   The price was extremely affordable for all that was included, such as; easy check-in with a very friendly staff; chairs for lounging outside of your room to visit with neighbors or members of your party in separate rooms: a heated indoor swimming pool open until 11PM; a fun little playground for the kids to utilize; a decent continental breakfast ... what people say » with an employee making fresh waffles for you; 24-hr coffee, tea & juice available; and a good location within walking distance of shops & res - Therese and her staff are wonderful. They are so willing to go above to help their guests and provide information on place to eat and visit. The property is on old highway 31 which helps with the charm that it is not located by all the other hotel,motel and is very quiet. The room I stayed in was roomy, clean and plenty of pillow for the bed. If you want a change in staying off the beaten path, stay at the Thunderbird Inn.

  The spaciousness of the room was great, and so many lights! We loved the pool. The fact that the sink is outside the shower/toilet area. It was close enough to the toursit secton w/out being in the tourist section. Bonnie was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area! - The staff was very friendly and helpful.   We were very impressed with the 3 beds in one room. We were a group of friends, 2 of whom did not know each other. It was nice for them to have their own beds.
