It is very close to the airport (about 1mi) although driving from the
airport is about 2.5 miles. It is a quiet Old town location, but located
on the I-5, so if you're a light sleeper, make sure you get ear
plugs or make sure you get a front side room. We were there only for 2

It was easy to stay there. Staff was friendly, parked our car very close to our room, likedvthe mini fridge, microwave and the breakfast included, it was more than I thought it would be (breakfast) and it was very convenient so that you got that out of the way and could start your day. We had young kids and we felt at ease as oppose to a mega hotel that caretered to business people, this felt homey. Was in good neighborhood, walking distance to Old Town and close to everything. The close proximity to the Old Town centre and also the proximity to Down-Town and all the attractions of San Diago. - We got lost and the night desk staff at the hotel was very helpful in directing us to the hotel. She was very pleasant and courteous.

This hostel is absolutely amazing, and by far the best I've ever
visited. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, with helpful staff.
It's located in Little Italy, which is a brief 15 minute walk from
downtown and the Gaslamp Quarter. It's clean and has a very home
feeling to it. Every day the hostel offers activities, both daytime and
evening. Breakfast and dinner is complimentary. I was very comfortable
here, and sad to leave when my stay was over. Will definitely stay here
next time I visit
