  I Loved the comforter on our bed it was so comfortable to sleep in, and the pillows were amazing as well! The hotel it's self is very convenient, right across the way from the street car (which isn't exspensive at all) there are awesome food places all over the place, not far from the French quarter or Bourbon street, basically right where you wan... what people say » t to be, the area around the hotel is safe there is security at night that walks the property. The staff at the front desk where awesome, so very frie - This place looked little tired but the rooms were large, very clean,really great location with lots of eating places near by also street car straight across road and the staff very very helpful. Breakfast was also included and was really nice and large selection. The only negative was that we stayed the weekend of Jazz Festival and the room price nearly doubled but we would certainly stay there again loved it

To service staff and they all seem to enjoy their jobs. This is a wonderfully quirky place, not for everyone, but definitely for us!

The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We ran into some issue @ the beginning of our trip and weren't able to rent a car as planned. One of the staff members sat with us for an hour directing us to the best restaurants and bars outside of the French quarters. The location was perfect. Just a short block from the street cars. Since we didn't have a vehicle it was very convenient.

  The hotel was very convenient for visiting the city. The trolley stop is only a short walk. The hotel is an old New Orleans house and very atmospheric. Much nice than an anonymous chain hotel as long as you don't expect the same facilities. It's a bit like staying in someone's house. The family are delightful: friendly and very helpful but not too... what people say » intrusive as they are only around during breakfast. We only wanted somewhere to sleep as we were out all day and evening so it suited us perfectly. - Fairchild is in an excellent location to tour New Orleans! The feeling of friendly atmosphere! Breakfast was wonderful and the owner gave wonderful informations for things to do and see!!!! We will come back and stay here!!!
