  Excellent location next to a great park and within 5 mins walk of Lake Michigan. Transport into city super easy from right outside the hotel or you can walk into the city within half hour. Design of the hotel funky & individual - loved the staff 'uniforms' with the bow ties etc. Great coffee shop attached to the hotel lobby. Excellent customer service from the staff. Roof top bar/restaurant has amazing views. The hotel has a very cool retro feel and the decor is great. The restaurant was good - pricey, but you can grab a bite at the bar. The bartendar provided excellent service.

  The staff was extremely kind when our taxi didn't show up to take us to Union Station. So we missed the train. A staff member stood in the rain with us while we tried to get another cab. We couldn't get a cab, but they let us continue to use our room for the day. This out- weighs any of the negative comments we wrote. Anna and Barbara did an excellent job of cleaning and restocking my room 317 when I stayed there earlier this week. They both deserve raises. I also liked the guest use of the lobby computer as well as the continental breakfast.

  Was comfortable and convenient. When I told them that I needed to keep my insulin cool they gave me a little refrigerator without charge. However, what kind of a hotel room does not already have a refrigerator? The one cup at a time coffee pot was great but if I had stayed in longer than an hour after getting up, more than one unit of coffee would... what people say » have been appreciated. - I liked the check in a lot: quick, friendly and professional guy. The only thing - he did not give us breakfast vouchers and we had to argue with Breakfast staff that our breakfast is included. Design - very interesting but a little bit too much posters.

  The hotel is in an excellent location. I really like the courtyard and the clean environment.The staff were excellent especially the janitors - 5 star service. Warm and friendly staff. The fact that they do not accept tips made their committment to excellence all the more valid.

  Our stay at The Drake was wonderful! We booked a deluxe room with a view and were able to check in early. Our room was very spacious with 2 huge windows looking onto the lake and Oak Street Beach.   As soon as we settled in our room we received a call to see if we needed anything. People gave service a 6 out of 10 which is rediculous. 10/10 for sure. The best hotel in chicago. - Did not get to spend much time in the hotel, but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very lovely, although the lighting could have been brighter.

The building itself is really impressive, the room (as well as the bathroom!) was spacious with pleasant furnishing, the staff was really friendly and helpful. This is really a luxury hotel: when you go in, you feel pleasant fragrance in the lobby, if it rains you can borrow umbrella, people o... what people say » pen the front door for you etc. The location is just perfect. You can find a red line station nearby. - Good things about the room: clean, great shower apart from the bath, the beds, no noise. Good things about the hotel: at night great lighteffects, good bar, nice personnel, luxury looks. Good things about neighbourhood of the hotel: lots of restaurants(also for breakfast) and bars around, in the middle of the most important shopping area, lots of interesting things to see and to do (for exemple boattour, musea) on a walking distance.
