  Excellent location next to a great park and within 5 mins walk of Lake Michigan. Transport into city super easy from right outside the hotel or you can walk into the city within half hour.   The staff was extremely kind when our taxi didn't show up to take us to Union Station. So we missed the train. A staff member stood in the rain with us while we tried to get another cab. We couldn't get a cab, but they let us continue to use our room for the day. This out- weighs any of the negative comments we wrote. Anna and Barbara did an excellent job of cleaning and restocking my room 317 when I stayed there earlier this week. They both deserve raises. I also liked the guest use of the lobby computer as well as the continental breakfast.

  Was comfortable and convenient. When I told them that I needed to keep my insulin cool they gave me a little refrigerator without charge. However, what kind of a hotel room does not already have a refrigerator? The one cup at a time coffee pot was great but if I had stayed in longer than an hour after getting up, more than one unit of coffee would... what people say » have been appreciated. - I liked the check in a lot: quick, friendly and professional guy. The only thing - he did not give us breakfast vouchers and we had to argue with Breakfast staff that our breakfast is included. Design - very interesting but a little bit too much posters.

Helpful staff, extrememly clean and well kept, fruit, cereal and bagels provided for breakfast with microwave and cooker should you wish to purchase anything for yourself, basic room but perfect as base for exploring Chicago. 5 to 10 mins walk to John Hancock Centre and oak street beach and explo... what people say » red a great deal of Chicago by foot.   The hotel is in an excellent location. I really like the courtyard and the clean environment.The staff were excellent especially the janitors - 5 star service. Warm and friendly staff. The fact that they do not accept tips made their committment to excellence all the more valid.

  Our stay at The Drake was wonderful! We booked a deluxe room with a view and were able to check in early. Our room was very spacious with 2 huge windows looking onto the lake and Oak Street Beach. The hotel even sent a complimentary bottle of champagne to our room for our anniversary!
