  Beautiful hotel with lots of character! Staff and owner are incredibly friendly. Chiang Mai and our stay here was the highlight of our trip to Thailand.   Everything was excellent. Horizon Club was well worth the little extra as you get so much more for your money . Staff were so friendly. Even the British GM took the time to have a chat with us on a couple of occasions. Minor quirks were attended to instantly. An example was that one day after a heavy day walking around temples and looking forward to a nice rela - The great care that the staff extended to my husband and myself. Nothing was too much trouble for them. As we were elderly it was sometimes a little difficult for us but all the staff were unfailingly kind and did not make us feel that we were nuisances. My highest praise for all of them.

  Staff were fantastic. One night I was struggling to sleep as the family nextdoor were extremely noisy (babies crying, TV very loud, doors slamming etc). The hotel staff were incredibly sympathetic and even offered to move me to another floor. I was impressed by how well they managed this.   The lady that runs the villa (Pray) is a breath of fresh air, very helpful and positive and always happy to help. I can say that because of her we felt extreemly welcome comfortable and happy to stay at the villa. I have traveled to many locations and must say that the people really make a difference. It's not a five star hotel, more like a family... what people say » home so if your expectations are set at that you will be happy. I would also say anywhere in Thailand use mosquito repellant... There is a small mark - Everything was great. It is a family run business and the service you receive is excellent to say the least. Was upgraded to a better room without any extra charge and stayed there for 7 nights. It is slightly outside the city by the river but to me that was an advantage. The hotel provides free shuttle service to the main own twice a day and I can assure you that distance is not a problem.
