  Went here for my annivesary. THe staff were professional and friendly. They didn't have the room I booked so they upgraded me to a two bedroom superior suite. The suite was clean and it had to balconies. The bathroom was lovely, and the bath was a lovely bonus. The location was great, central to Courtnay Pl; went to Te Papa and the embassy. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the staff made our stay welcoming, relaxing and ensured they knew our names for that extra personal touch. We would definitely rebook this facility in the near future and have recommended Distinction to our friends and family.

  After being delayed by weather and airlines for 2 days, we arrived at the Copthorne quite tired, frustrated and disappointed that our three night stay had been reduced to just one night. This was meant to be the first stop on our honeymoon and as such had booked a harbour view room. I'd kept the staff up to date with the delays, but thought I woul... what people say » d need to go through the story again upon check in. As soon as we entered the building, we were greeted by Kenny, who turned out to be the Duty Manage - Thankyou to your staff that night.We arrived in from Sydny after 1 am without our bags and only the cloths we were wearing. We had a 8 am departure that morning and they kindly arranged for our cloths to be washed and ready by 6 am. Nothing was too much trouble and they definately "went the extra yard" Our thanks to them again.

  Great location easy walk to Lambton Quay and other quality shops, bars, restaurants, Courtney Pl. An easy 15min walk to stadium we were in Wellington to watch Warriors vs Bulldogs game. Accommodation was excellent everything we needed in our apartment which was well suited for 4 guests. Staff very accommodating allowing us late checkout which was ... what people say » great as we had a late flight. They stored our baggage whilst we went sight seeing. And called us a cab to airport when we collected our baggage well - The lady at front desk was friendly and helpful. We had trouble getting the tv to work, she explained and also offered to come to room and get it working. Also my daughter accidently dropped her ipod by lift which was found by permanent apt man, who phd us to arrange getting back to us - very honest and appreciated!

  Lovely warm welcome from staff. Clean well appointed room. Accomodating about early check-out time. LOVED the fact that the heater had been left on so it was nice and cosy when we arrived :-) - Easy to get to central city locations via public transport (bus).   The staff were fantastic - friendly and helpful. The location was right in the city and it was an easy walk and elevator ride down to Lambton Quay, the waterfront, supermarket, shops etc. I especially liked the fact that given we had preschool-age children, the rooms weren't adorned with things they could 'play' with (wreck!). It was exactly what ... what people say » we expected and had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. The makeup wipes in the bathroom were an excellent idea too! Parking was onsite and visib - It exceeded my expectations. For being in the heart of the city, it was great value for the money. I was worried it would be the least of places we stayed in NZ. Instead it was the nicest. My daughter and I enjoyed the access to the pool and exercise equipment, and the lift to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was most comfortable with a great kitchen, and our own washer / dryer. We would certainly recommend it to our friends.

Position is excellent and that the owner organised transport for us to the airport (4am), was very much appreciated, We loved that there is a curfew on planes as we thought we might have been kept awake all night. We were quite late arriving in but the room was heated for us which was really appreciated.

  We stayed three nights at room 1601 in Mercure Central Apartments and we found our stay very pleasant. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped into the hotel till they day we checked out. Through out our stay they helped us with recommendations for restaurants and such, and we enjoyed their recommendations. It has many amenities like a fridge, microwave, kitchenwares, iron, etc. The bathr - The location was ideal for our purposes. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk staff were excellent. We had previously stayed at another Grand Mecure and was encouraged to book because of this. Also our daughter is getting married at the Grand Mecure Monaco (Nelson) in Sept and we wanted to support Accor because of the service we are receiving from Clare and staff at Nelson.

It's a backpacker and not a hotel, and don't forget, you are just paying backpacker prices. And this is one of the cheapest places to sleep in Wellington!!   Everything went to plan, arrived late, key where they said with our name on it, nice little suit, nice fresh sheets, able to make our breakfast there, and a little dairy down below with essentials, really nice staff, left our bags there for the day, no problems, really happy with our stay, thanks - The first staff member we delt with was very nic... what people say » e and she offered for us to leave our bags even though our check in time was not until a few hours away. The room was very clean and set out really well. It was nice having windows that actually opened right up because it got very warm.

  The corner apartment was great and the building felt safe after the earthquakes and us coming from Christchurch. The locatin was perfect. The senior staff member (female) was friendly and easy going. The apartment had all that we needed - the bath was great and being able to do our washing was a bonus. - Location is superb.   The staff were awesome they accommodated us to the best of their ability with helping out with storage of our bags, access to Internet and with getting around the city. They also helped us with transport to the airport with a special deal. They were also very friendly and always chatting to us which was great!   I like it because they are always very friendly - which is always a plus to me - the location is great, it is clean and has everything I need for a good price. - Reception friendly & helpful. We got there at 9.30am as we were going to a cricket match, and were able to check in & leave our car there for the day.

I read so many varying reviews on the hotel before making the booking and after staying here can confidently say that it was one of the nicest places we have ever stayed.
