  Modern, nicely furnished villa in a quiet location with great views and yet close (by car) to shops, restaurants and beaches. There is an attractive open air restaurant/bar, but it was not operating (at the end of September) which was a bit disappointing.   The hotel was in an amazing location set in a cove, the exterior of the hotel blended into the natural cove scene which was great. The staff were great very attentive and the pool/ beach was not crowded just right. - Spacious, private, luxury in a wonderful setting with superb facilitites and excellent staff and high standard of food and wine

  Fantastic resort. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The stand out was the friendliness of the staff - they were extremely helpful, from telling us the best places to eat and drink in town and making reservations for us, to organising a packed breakfast for us when we had to leave very early on our last day. There are lots of fre - As people have always been my first priority while travelling I can't help saying a few words about the staff.. They are very professional, useful, always ready to help and superfriendly. All of them,starting from the reception guys and finishing by our housemaid, did their best to let us feel like at home. I did regret we were staying only six days It was really sad to leave.

  The staff were so welcoming , particularly Georgos , and the welcome meeting with free glass of champagne and smoked salmon blinis was a really nice touch . We were upgraded and our room was lovely with fabulous view to spinalonga and hot tub on the balcony . Another very nice touch was free bottle of very good quality Cretan red wine .   Elounda Mare is perfection. We absolutely love this place and will definitely be back. Our room had beautiful views and was very spacious and very clean. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. After travelling all day we arrived quite late so the complimentary glass of champagne was very much appreciated as was the fruit basket in our room.   Everything is beyond any expectation! The personnel is warm, friendly and always there to assist, with a smile. Warm and relaxing environment and decoration.
