  We were upgraded to a king sized bed in a room with a whirlpool tub and gas fireplace.   Good Friday was the best day of my entire life. Driving up from Kansas we were very kindly greeted upon arrival. Cute room with a fireplace. And a little balcony to over look the mts and a fire pit where people where enjoying their night.   We were there for an 18-person family reunion. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with regard to meals, rooms, and the like. The rooms were generally comfortable, although the sofa beds were less so. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained and the children loved them. We were looking to stay in a suite and the lodge does not have a suite. All the rooms have a different floor plan as well but, the caretaker was more than happy to take care of us and even lowered our rate!

It was the bomb when the Elk were right by our room and we got to go out and take pictures and see them close up.   I loved how close the lodge was to downtown Estes Park. My girlfriend and I walked down to Kind Coffee (great atmosphere, awesome place) and did some shopping at the little stores. Also, only a 5 minute drive from Rocky Mountain national park. Great price for a great location. It's a bit of a dive, but totally like something out of Northern Exposure. If you're super picky and high end, you may be disappointed, if you are easy going, this is the place without a doubt. Great views, super sweet staff.

  We rented one of the two bedroom units and were very happy with our visit. Staff was very helpful and friendly, as were our neighbors. We had one of the rooms that had not been renovated, but it was still clean. Location is great - very close to Estes Park and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Loved the hot tub and HEATED pool - spent a lot of time out there, even though temperatures were in the 60's. - It was an excellent place especially for the price. We were only there for one night so it didn't need to be spacious. We were in town for a wedding and when we traveled to the wedding sight we saw plenty of Elk! We even bought the painting that was on the wall we liked it so much! We live in Virginia but I spent the first 25 years of my life as a Coloradoan and we were very excited to buy a painting with Aspens to add to our Virginia home.

Our room was a little dated (almond colored bathtub) but everything still looked brand new so that didn't bother me a bit. I've stayed in 5 star hotels that were not as clean as this place.
