The location is great, very close to town without being in the middle of the crowds. The rooms were clean, comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. That said, what puts the Maxwell Inn over the top is the care and attention of Phil and Dana. It is as if they both asked out loud, "What would I want if I were going on vacation and staying in Estes Park?" and then went and did those things. This place is great!! You can't beat being able to walk down town instead of having to find a parking space. The staff is amazing, the rooms are very clean and it's reasonably priced! We love staying here, and will never stay anywhere else!

I would highly recommend Appenzell Inn. The staff was cordial and helpful. The room was recently updated and very much like hotel decor from Switzerland. The indoor pool was super clean, warm, and very enjoyable. We will be returning in the months ahead with family visitors to Estes Park. -

We were there for an 18-person family reunion. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with regard to meals, rooms, and the like. letsbookhotel.com did not the the rooms correct. We were looking to stay in a
suite and the lodge does not have a suite. All the rooms have a
different floor plan as well but, the caretaker was more than happy to
take care of us and even lowered our rate!

This is a really great value. It's not fancy, but it is CLEAN and the surprisingly spacious. The continental breakfast has everything you might want and although I know the managers didn't do this on purpose, I thought it was so cool that when we came out for breakfast, there was a wild elk just hanging out on the grass area. The staff was awesome. The front desk gentleman was very welcoming and
gave us great insight into the local dining locations. The lobby
featured a eraser board that "ranked" the local eateries and
that was very helpful. The young lady who checked us out was most
gracious and accomadating and even loaded us up with extra granola
bars for the day. The hotel was not cheap by other towns standards,
but compared to other charges in the Estes Park area it was a value.

The Inn is placed just outside the centre of Estes Park which makes it easy to access and yet handy to go into the town if necessary. It has a great outlook onto the mountains and is of course convenient for access to The Rocky Mountain National Park. Happy hour was a nice surprise. -
