  I would highly recommend Appenzell Inn. The staff was cordial and helpful. The room was recently updated and very much like hotel decor from Switzerland.   We were there for an 18-person family reunion. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with regard to meals, rooms, and the like. The rooms were generally comfortable, although the sofa beds were less so. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained and the children loved them.   I loved the new carpet and soft, wonderful new beds. The atmosphere of the entire place was excellent. Loved the free water for outings, the snacks (though we didn't take any), and the uniquely real people who staffed the front desk. Each one was genuinely a kind, considerate person! Loved them!
