  We were there for an 18-person family reunion. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs with regard to meals, rooms, and the like. The rooms were generally comfortable, although the sofa beds were less so. The pool and hot tub were very well maintained and the children loved them. We were looking to stay in a suite and the lodge does not have a suite. All the rooms have a different floor plan as well but, the caretaker was more than happy to take care of us and even lowered our rate!

  I loved the new carpet and soft, wonderful new beds. The atmosphere of the entire place was excellent. Loved the free water for outings, the snacks (though we didn't take any), and the uniquely real people who staffed the front desk. Each one was genuinely a kind, considerate person! Loved them! We stayed there 6 nights, and though that's a long time, we got 6 memorable, pl - The staff was awesome. The front desk gentleman was very welcoming and gave us great insight into the local dining locations. The lobby featured a eraser board that "ranked" the local eateries and that was very helpful. The young lady who checked us out was most gracious and accomadating and even loaded us up with extra granola bars for the day.   Beautiful hotel. History in and around the hotel kept us busy for hours. We never re- entered our vehicle once we got there. The price of the hotel compensated for staying there, and not leaving the destination for night life. We did not do any tours, but still had a great time.
