  I loved everything about The Tucker House Inn! It was close to town so we didn't have to worry about driving or parking. A fabulous breakfast was delivered to our room daily and when we were going to be leaving early they brought an awesome breakfast "to go" the day before. Everyone was super nice and super helpful.   Absolutely everything! Staying on this incredibly charming boat was an unexpected delight. Laura, the owner and host was a gem. She was so proud of her boat. She was great telling us about the history of the B&B. Even though her galley kitchen is tiny she managed to serve unbelievable breakfasts (fruit/pancake delight bakes in individual... ce que les gens disent » ramakins. she went over how to use everything in our cabin since it was so unique. An amazing adventure you just have to experience it!! - This B&B made the whole trip. I cannot say enough about the boat itself - adorable, unique, and unforgettable. I suggest paying the extra for the larger room/living area - totally worth it. Laura, the owner was fantastic. Made you feel very at home - and her breakfast was great. A must do for a couple going to Friday Harbor, we will go back no doubt. I can say I have traveled the world, seen and been to a ton of places. This is now the top of my list.

  I loved the staff! They were so friendly and had a lot of tips on where to go on the island. The room was clean and they even left a note for my boyfriends b-day. When we woke up the view was stunning. The fog was clinging to the ocean and the ferry was coming in.   I am very happy to write about my experience at Discovery Inn recently. The rooms were very comfortable having been newly remodeled. Everything from the floor up including the TV appears to be tip top shape. The bathroom was spotless and new as well. This is a family owned business which I like going to because I like the personal service. The hotel - Nice location just a few blocks from downtown Friday Harbor. Recently renovated comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Satisfactory value for the money. Friday Harbor/San Juan Island is a delightful place to visit in the summer.

  We spent 3 days, 2 nights at Lakedale Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our time. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and the staff could not have been more accommodating. We took the boat out several times on the lake, which was so romantic. It couldn't have been more perfect! The hotel and its surroundings provided a beautifully serene atmosphere. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and even helped us book an excursion. We kayaked on the lake and it was just the two of us. Would definitely recommend staying here!

  I liked the decor. It's impressive how good taste in paint and decor can turn a "box" into a comfortable, attractive place. The staff was very helpful and friendly- honest, good recommendations. Having bikes for guest use is a real plus. We had fun in the pool. The local lavender bath products were excellent. Tory was especially helpful, from picking us up at the ferry, to restaurant suggestions, to giving us directions to a state park within biking distance manageble by 2 kids that had grills for a cookout. The spa for the adults was excellent and the kids loved the pool. Even though we stayed during high season, the rooms were very quiet inside. Definite thumbs up.

  The price is by far the best value available anywhere in the San Juan Islands. While not as convenient as some of the other hotels, the location is only about 12 minutes walk from the ferry. Internet access worked fine with a WiFi booster in the usb port (WiFi is a work in progress.) The room was just as described, clean, and perfectly suited for what I needed. The woman at that I checked out with was also very friendly. Lovely little place on the outskirts of town. I will be staying here again.

Patty (a trained chef) whips up fantastic gourmet breakfasts every morning and Jerry (a font of knowledge) provides great suggestions on places to visit and eat. IIt is rich in color and old woods and very comfotable. Patty is a former chef and both she and husband Jerry are world travelers full of great stories if you're in the mood for some lively conversation.
