  We were upgraded to a king sized bed in a room with a whirlpool tub and gas fireplace. It was a perfect setting for us as we had been hiking all day and we were ready for a comfortable bed and a good soaking! - Staff was the most friendly and helpful of any place I've ever stayed in CO.   Good Friday was the best day of my entire life. Driving up from Kansas we were very kindly greeted upon arrival. Cute room with a fireplace. And a little balcony to over look the mts and a fire pit where people where enjoying their night. Fridge in room was nice for keeping snacks and drinks. Nice selection of complimentary snacks and homemade cake in lobby. hope to return again soon.

It was the bomb when the Elk were right by our room and we got to go out and take pictures and see them close up.   I loved how close the lodge was to downtown Estes Park. My girlfriend and I walked down to Kind Coffee (great atmosphere, awesome place) and did some shopping at the little stores. Also, only a 5 minute drive from Rocky Mountain national park. Great price for a great location. It's a bit of a dive, but totally like something out of Northern Exposure. If you're super picky and high end, you may be disappointed, if you are easy going, this is the place without a doubt. Great views, super sweet staff.

  We rented one of the two bedroom units and were very happy with our visit. Staff was very helpful and friendly, as were our neighbors. We had one of the rooms that had not been renovated, but it was still clean. Location is great - very close to Estes Park and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Loved the hot tub and HEATED pool - spent a lot of time out there, even though temperatures were in the 60's. - It was an excellent place especially for the price. We were only there for one night so it didn't need to be spacious. We were in town for a wedding and when we traveled to the wedding sight we saw plenty of Elk! We even bought the painting that was on the wall we liked it so much! We live in Virginia but I spent the first 25 years of my life as a Coloradoan and we were very excited to buy a painting with Aspens to add to our Virginia home.

  Great room, great bathroom. The hotel is located just behind a golf course, were several elks live! Every morning (before sunset) they can be found just a few steps from your bedroom door. Our room was a little dated (almond colored bathtub) but everything still looked brand new so that didn't bother me a bit. I've stayed in 5 star hotels that were not as clean as this place.
