From the pickup at the airport on, everyone was very helpful in helping us find our way around Phoenix. We had a full day to wait for family to pick us up so, the staff at the hotel even kept our bags for us so we could site-see, after checking out. The bed was comfortable. Pickup service at the terminal was prompt. Desk clerk was friendly and attentive. I was very impressed with my single room with king size bed! The room was very clean, spacious, wellappointed and only like $63 including tax! Such a deal! :-)).
all reviews » Convenient for the airport but not noisy. Selection of good restaurants nearby. Excellent location for day trips into the mountains and Arizona desert (4x4 vehicle recommended). Good starting point for holidays in the US South west. We liked being able to park and fly. The shuttle service was convenient and the staff was friendly. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Had Plenty of room. Was a good place to lay your head and get some sleep. Room did have a safe to protect valuables. There is nothing we liked about this place--other than proximity to airport //the staff were unfriendly--wouldn't look at us and were non conversant--see complaints. Didn't stay, looked like a bad area of town at night, my son didn't want to stay. The name is misleading, one might think its close to the airport but it isn'T. Nothing. I was very happy with the room and the service. No real bad points but 70s plumbing needs updating. It was a little difficult to regulate the room temperature; the AC blew up under the curtains. The bathroom door wasn't very secure "the metal plate for the latch was missing", and water didn't drain very well in the sink and bath, so while taking a shower, I pretended I was in a submarine that had been hit. Not able to walk too far from hotel after dark Neighbourhood is questionable. The tile on the floor felt funny with bare feet. Carpet could have used cleaning. The location is a bit grubby. Wifi is only in the reception hall. Breakfast is very minimalistic. The photo with the pool must have been photoshopped as the photo shows a straight pool border and in reality it is very small and all rounded. TV in room needed attention from maintenance. Early morning/ night staff a bit uncommunicative and surly. Breakfast. Plumbing problems. Wifi didn't seem to work, no printing facilities. The air con was very loud when the compressor cut in. Had to switch it off during the night to get to sleep. On first entering the room it looked ok but the bathroom had dead bugs on the floor. Later when retiring for the night I pulled the covers back and there was a big stain(crusty) on the sheet. I slept on top of the blanket as did my son in his double bed. the motel suffered from bed bugs in some of the rooms. lack of breakfast items short time limit for breakfast. poor breakfast, I found a cockroach in the bathroom.I chose the option pay later, but they charged me before arriving and they send the money back (7 USD less, and it was not due to different exchange rate -USD/CZK). air conditioner is too noisy and is needed due to high temperatures, so you can't sleep in cold room due to noise, or - you can't sleep in quiet room due to heat. Next to a detention centre and a strip club. I was double billed for the room and received no reply to my emails concerning this problem. No food was really available. The wait for the delivery was almost 2 hours, so I had to walk down to the Circle K for a very bad sandwich. No refrigerator in room, ice machine at office and no other location, cigarette burns in comforter, bathroom ceiling had leaky roof-plaster fell on my child's head, sign for breakfast was too small. Insufficient electrical outlets by bed Internet connections worked poorly Lousy breakfast compared to other DI's I visited. rough city area. Staff was a bit rude. Neighbourhood was shady. Not recommended if you can find somewhere downtown for a similar price. Staff was not friendly. Did not serve breakfast till late. Could do much better at Econolodge down the street. It was across the street from a strip club. I had to wait 30min. for the shuttle. poor connection to internet in room. had to go to office to get connection. Woke up to find ourselves covered in bed bugs. You could literally see them all over the sheet and comforter. I have over 40 bites from ONE night!!! Hopefully our luggage isn't infested... Shower and walls were dirty. Door handles and walls above the garbage were especially filthy. The rooms were dated and a little grubby in places such as shower. The electricity was on the blink with several sockets not working and maybe hazardous. The area was a bit scary. Dirty, especially bathroom. Bad smell from cleaning solution. No screens on windows. Lumpy uncomfortable beds. Only pop machine was broken. Surroundings - strip club across street, many properties in disrepair and abandoned. It is directly across the street from a strip club and 1 block from a prison! Extremely bad neighborhood!!!! I was terrified the entire nights stay. But I was told I could not get a refund! I was on a very tight budget so I could not go to another hotel. No lock on first floor bathroom window. Dirty carpet - something spilled/vomited and was only scraped up, not cleaned. Poor quality facilities and decor - looks and feels seedy. Clock not set properly (a week after the time change) so I was ready for a 4:00 am shuttle at 3:00 am - I was not a happy camper!. People at the front desk were rude. They wanted to cancel my reservations but if wasn't so tired I would left . They even charge more then the Internet price me. Bad customer service especially when people are tired from work then waiting for delays at the air port .. I wouldn't stay there again with the experience I got!!!!!. We stayed in room 106--it was filthy with a dirty bathtub--no fresh soap or other usual amenities--the sheets on the bed were unclean//even worse the bed was bug infested--I awoke with numerous itchy bites from crawling bugs//anyone who stays here is crazy. Gunshot across street Shower didn't work Breakfast was horrible. Indian owners watered down apple juice Strong smell of curry in reception.
