This is a great little hotel! By little, I don't mean small, it's that they aim to give you a very comfortable stay in a nice place with a cool atmosphere without any pretensions . Oh, and did I mention, It's a great value! I'm not sure what else is available near the airport in Phoenix, but the next time I'm there, I'll be puttin' my head down at the Aloft!.

This is our 5th visit to this ALoft. It is very convenient to Tempe (via light rail or car), downtown (same), south Scottsdale and all of central Phoenix. The rooms are very nice, with a good modern feel. Beds are comfortable, the rooms are very clean. The staff is outstanding!. It was really the best designed hotel I have ever seen. Also, it was perfectly clean and room amenities are quite satisfactory. I stayed many hotels in US in different cities, and this one is the best in terms of value/price. Highly recommend this hotel. Unique deign was appreciated. More bang for the buck with clever use of materials and unexpected, efficient room layout. Super close to the airport which was good for our purpose. I'll look for Aloft when I travel. It is worth the few dollars extra. The room was designed well. Blinds blacked out the light, air conditioner worked, shower was great, bed and pillows comfy, and lots of waist high flat surfaces for opening a bag and rummaging through it. Excellent room layout with many designer touches. Room felt clean and new. Location is adjacent to a convenience store and very close to the Phoenix airport. staff were young and helpful washing machine to our disposition pool very clean . not to busy internet free and not busy design room. everything, it was the best stay I've had at a more than reasonable price. I will stay here again and recommend it to all my friends. The whole atmosphere was nice. Very modern, clean and friendly. The shuttle from the airport was nice. Pet friendly was a bonus!. The bathrooms are set up well and very cool. Modern design. Pool. If you drive, it can be a little tricky getting into the parking lot. The entrance does not have its own entrance. You enter from the side, and many have to drive around the block to figure it out. You should call the hotel right after landing to Phoenix airport for the shuttle to pick you up from the airport. It works on-demand (especially at nights) however it is not written in anywhere. Even this is not a big deal after seeing the hotel design and amenities. The receptionist could be better trained and professional. All I encountered were very minimal in service manners. Being cool in that role requires knowledge and helpful frame of mind. Asked if he could call a cab for us, we were offered a phone number and an excuse of how busy they were which took longer than calling a cab. Not a thing!. Nothing. The hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. very limited for restaurant not very much around the hotel. N/A. pillows were too fluffy. Proximity to any local attractions whatsoever. A bit pricey for what you get. Noting all was good. Acess to car parking not well signed. The fact I couldn't spend more time there!. lack of food choices; far away from other food choices .. we do not like microwaved food. There was nothing I didn't like. Nothing! I loved everything about it!. It felt like we were walking into a nightclub at night when we arrived. We do not drink or go to clubs and it made us a little uncomfortable. You hear airplane noise in the room but are near the airport after all. It was all good. The room temperature was hard to control. Got cold, then hot and air blew on one side of the room. The beds were hard as rocks! And lots and lots of noise . Water too soft; soap hardly gets off. Pillows in the room smelled different smell. nothing everything was outstanding. Poor food availability at the area. No microwave in room. Not enough nessecities available for purchase( tooth brush w/ tooth paste). The size of the rooms, and disorganization of bookings. Breakfast is limited with quality...it should be universal. Lazy staff with relaxed attitude No printers at computer stations were working. Tough place to get into. Not much around-felt very isolated and it was noisy with the trains. Not a very warm atmosphere-contemporary can be warm if done nicely. Noisy, noisy, noisy--room was above the lounge that played music all night long--even though no patrons were in the bar! I called the desk to say that my room was too loud to sleep in. Next morning I said that I was moving to a hotel where I could sleep. I was never even offered another room at Aloft. I was then told I would have to pay for my one night's stay in cash and could not be provided with a receipt since I was not staying for the full three nights that I had booked! What? ! ! !. #2 question, how am I rating???.
