  When I read the reviews on here, I thought this place is too good to be true but it wasn't! I had a beautifully decorated room that was really comfortable and clean, almost forensically clean! The sheets weren't just fresh, they smelled fresh!   This BandB is very modern, extremely clean and well run and the breakfasts are unbeatable! Excellent value for money for what is royal treatment in Ayr. I also liked the lounge which was accessible at all times and the selection of games and magazines on offer to guests. - The hotel was very neat and tidy and the toilets and the shower were excella... what people say » nt. But being disabled I had a problem entering the premises as there were no rails and it was the same in the toilet and shower areas but on the whole we managed all right

  I travel alot for work and stay in numerous hotels. This hotel has been the best by far. Friendly staff who will go out of their way for you. Good food at reasonable prices the evening meal and breakfast were lovely. The rooms clean and comfortable.   The guesthouse is located in a nice part of Ayr, with shops and the beach just 5-10 minutes walk away. The house itself is nice. It's propably better suited for older travellers, but having said that, the owner made me and my two young children more than welcome. All in all you'll be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in if you visit Ayr, especially at these prices. - Helen , the owner of The Richmond made us very welcome . The guest house has a great location being in a quiet residential area but still close to the seafront ( 5 minute walk) and city centre. I was with a group of friends rather than family and the large rooms allowed us to relax .A welcome change from cramped hotels. The breakfast was fantastic. I cannot recommend this high enough if you are visiting Ayr.
