  This hotel is very convenient when staying in Solvang. I loved the room, the staff, and the location. My only 'Con', and it's a small one, but if you offer a free continental breakfast - please leave the food out and available for the guests. Svendsgaard had someone serving us behind a window with a large tip bowl in front of them. I mean is i... what people say » t free or not? I'm more than capable of making myself a bowl of cereal and grabbing a pastry and someone handing it to me instead doesn't warrant a t - It was a very convenient location to walk into Solvang. I was there for a wedding at the old mission and it was right across the street. I requested a quiet room and they gave us a room at the back off the busy main street. We ended up with a kitchen and separate dining area which we didn't use because we were there for one night. Didn't get to use the fireplace either but it would have been nice on a cold night. The staff was very friendly.

  The staff @ King Frederik was extremely helpful (I walk w/a walker) and couldn't have been kinder. The room itself was very clean and well kept. The location in town couldn't be better. We were there 3 days - a truly great experience. - The hotel is right in the middle of town, walking distance to everything. Great hotel and very comfortable.
