  I loved the staff! They were so friendly and had a lot of tips on where to go on the island. The room was clean and they even left a note for my boyfriends b-day. When we woke up the view was stunning. The fog was clinging to the ocean and the ferry was coming in. The romance of this town and this hotel was just what we needed! - The room was won... what people say » derful, it had a terrace that overlooked the harbor with a perfect view.   I am very happy to write about my experience at Discovery Inn recently. The rooms were very comfortable having been newly remodeled. Everything from the floor up including the TV appears to be tip top shape. The bathroom was spotless and new as well. The decor was nice and the room had nice amenities like toiletries, coffee maker, Wi-Fi and a frid... what people say » ge in room . The staff is helpful and courteous. This is a family owned business which I like going to because I like the personal service. The hotel - Nice location just a few blocks from downtown Friday Harbor. Recently renovated comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly and helpful staff at check-in. Satisfactory value for the money. Friday Harbor/San Juan Island is a delightful place to visit in the summer.

  The price is by far the best value available anywhere in the San Juan Islands. While not as convenient as some of the other hotels, the location is only about 12 minutes walk from the ferry. Internet access worked fine with a WiFi booster in the usb port (WiFi is a work in progress.) The walls look thin but despite the thin-looking walls I only heard the couple next door once, and that was one hal - The gentleman at the desk was very understanding and willing to work with me in regards to paying for the room when I checked in. The room was just as described, clean, and perfectly suited for what I needed. The woman at that I checked out with was also very friendly. Lovely little place on the outskirts of town. I will be staying here again.
